|
|
| I have a usb bluetooth dongle and I synced my wii remote to it. The software that came with the dongle recognizes it, and shows that it's there. It doesn't "connect/pair" it though and I can't figure out how, so nothing happens while running, because it doesn't know that the WiiMote is there. Does anyone recommend a different bluetooth program or tell me how to make it work please? Thanx! |

| I would also be interested in this. My BT adapter see's the Wiimote, but when it comes down to pairing it, it asks for a PIN and well, I can't get past that part. |

As far as i know, You cannot use the windows driver to pair with the wiimote.
You need a different Generic HID driver.
Try Bluesoleil and if you can version 1.6 since there is no evaluation on it.

I am using a Targus ACB10US Bluetooth 2.0 usb adapter
This may work for others adapters in WinXP that use similar software.
If you are using Windows XP
Open "My Computer"
Right-click on My Bluetooth Places and choose "Bluetooth Setup Wizard"
Choose the first option and click Next.
Choose HID "Human Interface Device" and click Next
Quickly press the buttons 1 & 2 at the same time on the wiimote to put it in discover mode. You will see the lights on the LEDs on the wiimote blinking.
It should find the controller, select it and click Next while the LEDs are still blinking. If they have stopped blinking just press the 1 & 2 buttons again on the wiimote and proceed.
You should be at the final screen now and see "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01"
Click "Finish" and that will complete the pairing of the wiimote with the Bluetooth service.
Now open GlovePIE022 (Version 023 does not work for me)
Choose FILE > Open and double-click TestWiimote.PIE
You should see the Numbers in the Run box changing when you move the wiimote.
Now you can add the custom mouse scripts in GlovePie and use as a mouse.
Let me know if it works for anyone else. |

hi i had a similar problem..
i bought the targus bluetooth stick installed it with the software from the CD and i could connect to the wiimote and everything worked fine.
unfortunately i lost my cd and I had to reinstall my windows XP
so i used the software of the targus homepage
with this software it recognised the wiimote.. and somehow I could connect with it... but it didn't work with glovepie..
so i installed the new drivers of broadcom site
and juhuuuu now it works perfect.
maybe this helps somebody!
