Well, Windows XP should come with some Bluetooth drivers that i've gotten to work with GlovePIE.
If you're running SP2 you can seem to connect your bluetooth device to the computer but GlovePIE doesn't like to pick it up.
To fix this, you need to go over to Control Panel, then head over to System. After that, you should head over to Hardware then click on Device Manager.
Make sure your Bluetooth device is plugged in before you do the next step if it is a USB dongle.
Head down to Bluetooth Radios and right click on Generic Bluetooth Radio. Click on Update Driver, select No, not this time and click next. Select Install from a specific location and click next. Select Dont search. I will choose the driver to install then click next. Selet CSR USB Bluetooth Device then once again, click next then Finish.
Now instead of showing Generic Bluetooth Radios in the Device Manager, it should show Bluetooth Devices.
It SHOULD work fine from here following the usual steps to connect the bluetooth device to the computer.
If anyone can confirm this, it would be great, it worked for my bluetooth usb dongle. _________________ ninkul.net

| Yes it does work =3 Thats the alternative I've done and it works! The same option appears when you have installed bluesoleil as well. |

Yeah.. i kinda got confused about what was going on with BlueSoleil since there weren't any real instructions on all this bluetooth crazyness. I never actually used a bluetooth device before and if you cant seem to install BlueSoleil, i guess this is good enough?
I didn't actually know what i was doing since with the Microsoft drivers never worked for me first time round (didn't know about the extra step for SP2) and yeah.. BlueSoleil didn't want to install on this computer (worked fine on the other one) and all the guides were like "ohhh use this BlueSoleil thing yada yada". I dont really see the difference? lol _________________ ninkul.net

The only problem is, once you connect it.. you have to remove it as a device for it to disable and readd it over and over ;P ive posted a detailed info on how to use bluetooth w/out bluesoleil on the wiki a day or two ago |
