A soldering iron

and solder

But seriously, yeah its mostly just steady hand, fine tip soldering iron would be best, if you dont have steady hands, uh oh.. But apparently the things to solder on the Wiinja mod aren't tiny and yeah but its still a bit risky. If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, get a pro Razz

Yep yep.

Get a soldering device that can produce atleast 100 degree celcius and a tip around 5~7mm. It actually doesn't matter which manufacturer it is. I have this no name one: http://www.nextag.com/250-Watt-Heavy-Duty-502597573/prices-html

But for more info you can check out the wikipedia:

apparently you never soldered before. Like Ninkul said you just need a A soldering iron and some solder. You cut a piece of solder off and hold it near what you want to solder (actually i am not sure. Its been a while. You can do it ANY kind of way YOU want) then melt it with the iron onto the metal. The iron can hold solder on the tip so really you dont have to be close to the metal you want to solder together. Solder 2 wires together as practice and when you are comfortable and can hold the iron (and solder?) steady you will be ready.

If you have a local auto store, they should have this kind of stuff there.

You can get a decent soldering iron for about $20 where I'm at. You might have seen commercials for ColdHeat, which is a soldering iron. This works but isn't the best for a first timer. It's also not good for circuitry work because if you touch the end of the iron to the board it completes the circuit and can possibly short-circuit the board. A regular electronic or butane iron is a good choice for you.

When you buy the solder for it, you want to get the Rosin Core kind which is for use on electronics because it is conductive, the other kind won't do you much good.

I really love these threads where someone throws up a misleading headline, asks for help, then simultaneously turns around and admits they don't know what said item is.

Yet they still expect the full "Red Carpet" treatment all the same. Rolling Eyes
