The sensor bar doesn't have any "sensors" in it of any kind. Infrared LEDs are affixed to the ends of the sensor bar. Coincidentally, the infrared sensor on the tip of the Wii remote can sense these infrared LEDs and determine their size and position. This functionality is used for controls that require pointing at a specific location on the screen and do not have anything to do with the rotation or force capabilities of the Wii remote. |
