|
|
My Logitech V200 mouse is broken.
When I plug in the USB into my laptop, it just posts a message saying
"One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned"
When I click the ballon my comp tells me my device is unknown(Well I expected this), and says that There are no drivers installed for my device.
I have tried the batteries.
I have tried replugging the receiver.
I have tried downloading a software from Logitech.
Nothing I have tried works.
I haven't been able to try my mouse on another computer yet.
I am sure the USB port I am using is functioning because I can use all my other USB devices on it.
If anyone can help me, PLEASE OH PLEASE HELP ME!!! |

a new computer!! i would have thought it would be cheaper to buy a new mouse.
And as other usb devices work i dont think a new usb card will help.
Weird kid
Really it needs to be tested on another machine, if it fails on that then try opening the mouse and checking the connections.
if all is good (which it probably will be) then a new mouse is in order i rekon :S _________________ |

It might be the mouse... but honestly if it's brand new I think he probably has USB 1 if that's the message he's getting. Yes, a new USB card would help, because it's USB 2.
But yeah. He should test it on another PC (preferably a USB 2). _________________ I like cream soda...

| I am doubtful that a mouse requires so much bandwidth that it needs usb2 to function. Such a mouse would have to be doing something rediculous, such as streaming video/audio data, to suck up that much bandwidth, and I am unaware of any mouse with those kinds of capabilities. |
