| Has anyone picked up the Wii version yet? I was hoping someone who knew how to write scripts would upload one. If not, I will get the game sometime next week and try to figure out the controls. |

| It's not going to be that simple. The nunchuck and classic controller had slightly different protocols... different enough that it took a few weeks (or months?) to get the classic controller working properly. The guitar hero add-on will be similar in that someone will have to discover what inputs it has and how they work. I mean we *might* get lucky and find out that it just has classic controller guts, but I doubt it. |

I would love to try to figure it out, but $90 is pretty steep. Do you think it would be ethical to rent it at BlockBuster? Probably not... |

| Doesn't sound unethical to me. You're still paying to play, not pirating. |

| I was hoping it had the classic controller guts since it has about the same number of buttons and only two things that really need the joysticks. If anyone has the game, try using the Classic controller scripts and see if it works. |

Yep, the GH3 Controller for the Wii has classic 'guts'
down strum is classic.down
up strup is classic.up
green fret is classic.a
red fret is classic.b
yellow fret is classic.x
blue fret is classic.y
orange fret is classic.zl
plus button is classic.plus
minus button is classic.minus
I dunno what the analog stick and whammy bar do yet though, i assume they are classic joy1 and joy2. you also might want to lay the guitar flat while inputing these controls in the GUI.
oh, and by the way: Hi!
im not exactly new here, ive been lurking these boards for a few months and since i saw a gh thread i thought i might contribute. I didnt ever think about testing the gh controller, but like the guy above me stated it might have classic layout so i tested it and it works. |

Sweet. I thought it was possible since it would be the easiest thing for them to do. I would bet the stick and whammy bar are the two joysticks and since the accelerometers are part of the wiimote, we should have everything working.
If it isn't done first, I will edit one of the classic controller scripts and post for those using Frets on Fire. |
