Hey, I am completely new to all this. I am running on Windows XP. Could someone write me a guide to using my wii remote as a mouse please?
Thanks |

Check youtube out for videos. DON'T pay any attention to ANY videos uploaded by someone called 'HouseholdHacker'. The guy is a douche & gets off on making people fuck their hardware up.
I'm not going to lie to you, but you really do need an understanding of what everyone here is doing, otherwise you are going to be totally lost.
Your best bet, if you are a bit reluctant to take it on, is to wait a while till someone has created a standalone auto executing script which you will simply be required to install once & not have to worry about again.
How long you say? Well that depends if anyone wants to undertake it.... |

Lots of people (including myself) use a Wiimote for a number of things on PC. (I also use an Xbox 360 + PS3 controller to play games too).
But at this point in time, we are still treading new ground.....okay, so we are leagues ahead now than what we were say a year ago, but there is still a lot to be learnt.
That means a 'Click & Go' option for novice users has not been implimented.
So for the time being, you will have to familiarise yourself with the opensource programs + scripts people are writing, & physically configure the settings yourself for it to work.
Like i said, its not easy...........if you don't know what you are doing. If you already have a basic understanding, then it will obviously be easier.
Stick around on the site, check out youtube videos, and educate yourself......simply being shown how to do something defeats the object
p.s You will find a lot of similar replies to mine to this question (as it has been asked far too many times now).....the simple fact of the matter is no one can be bothered to write a tutorial from scratch because its like them having to type out the alphabet to someone who asks how......we've done it so many times, it gets boring. |
