From what i know, GPL says that distros and forks must remain open source, knowing this, i also know the Linux Kernel is licenced under GPL. Why isn't WiiLi open source? Isnt that illegal? I am just curious.

Who told you WiiLi is closed source? Wiili is open source if it ever exist.
