Hi all!

I'm trying to use the Wii-mote as MIDI-controller and the tutorials I tried so far all use GlovePIE. My problem is, that whenever I run a script in GlovePIE, my systems crash (tried it so far on a PC with XP pro and a laptop with XP home).

Set-up:
- GBooster G-remote (Wiimote imitation, functions correctly on Wii)
- BlueSoleil 5.2.227.1
- GlovePie 0.3
- Trust 15542 Bt-2400 Ultra Small Blue Tooth Dongle (the user license for it's drivers was by Toshiba)

I've tried to run a script in GlovePIE with and without the firewall I run (Comodo), but the computer reboots anyway. So I rule this out.

I did some searches on this forum and got the idea that either this version of BlueSoleil or the Toshiba drivers could be the problem. So I'll try to find an older version of BlueSoleil in the meanwhile.

Any suggestions?

it's not windows xp, vista, or glovepie it's blue soliel. until they get around to fixing it with the newer versions your only options are to

1. find an older version of blue soliel ie. 2.3 or somehting like that

2. use the drivers that came with your disk if it has something other than blue soliel

3. download another bluetooth stack (drivers) such as the newest broadcom drivers from their site which is listed as an update. only thing to be aware is that the broadcom software doesn't give a pairing option only a passkey and you still need to set it to no passkey. as well as it may take several tries but you have to manually calibrate the wiimote in glovepie.

theres the broadcom link

Reverting to the Toshiba Stack fixed it! Thanks!
