OpenPIE will probably also help much with WiiLi itself, I think it will probably be very helpful once there is linux running on the wii to manage the inputs and all (for example, one could make a script to make an easy to type wiimote based "keyboard" to use with console and other types of programs that require keys _________________ please put the scripts on the wiki so they dont get lost as new stuff is posted!

That kinda brings us to a crossroads here. Should we follow strictly to the way GlovePIE does things, or should we instead say fuck it, do it our way, and then build a translator to import GlovePIE scripts and tie up loose ends? |
Put me down for "yes". How about a glovepie mode that is completely compatible with gp.29 scripts (assuming there aren't permission issues I don't know about), and an openpie mode that starts where ever you want (possibly with glovepie scripting as a basis, or not). It could simply be separated with the file type (ie. open a .gpi file, get glovepie scripting, open a .opi file, get openpie scripting--converter sold separately). |

| fortunzfavor: Me and luis discussed this and decided the best way to go was to make our language our own way, without being restricted by the glovepie grammar. Instead we plan to provide a tool that will translate glovepie scripts to openpie scripts automatically. |

I know this is probably a bit too early to be making suggesytions about new features, but I don't want risk me forgeting about it later on
wouldn't the algorithm used on Freetrack be a great addition to the arsenal of OpenPIE? (it is open-source, but I'm not sure the license would be compatible, I'm not all that well informed abouthow (each) licenses work)
two way sto use it I can imagine would be, one using it like how it is used there, readding info from an webcam, and the second would be just the algorithm for dealing with 4 dots and have the user use any means they choose/can to feed the coordinates of the 4 dots _________________ please put the scripts on the wiki so they dont get lost as new stuff is posted!

| I think we need OpenPie because GlovePie is never coming out with GlovePie 0.30. |

Hi all. I'm doing progress in the gesture recognition part, at least in c++, but conversion hsouldn't be too dificult.
For the bluethoot I haven't find anything usable yet. When I've something more specific (gesture rec / bluethooot), I'll let you know! |
