Sorry for reviving this, but i was just introduced to Wii-to Comp connections. I have a dual booting mac (with windows XP as the secondary).
I found a very useful, and easy to use program for the mac, but i wanted to use it on the PC(trying out the obvious, FPS's).
I have glovepie, and despite all my problems of connecting the wii to the PC itself, i finally managed. THing is i've only ever manage to get the glove pie connected to the remote twice, and both times i wasn't able to use the IR sensor at all (yes the bar was plugged in and the wii was on). Plus, in the middle of the program, the functions stopped working, and when i quit and re ran it nothing worked. So why am i having so much trouble a) getting anything at all to work, since i'm fairly sure all you have to do is have the wiimote connected to the PC and then open the program and click run, and b) why doesn't the IR sensor work at all? I've tried multiple scripts that came with the v 0.25 download, the result is always the same.
Is there an extra step i'm missing?
edit: and while i'm at it, maybe someone can help with connection issues? The computer always picks up the remote without a problem and registers it, but rarely does it actually say connected. and don't tell me to use BLueSoleil, i've tried, it thinks i have no bluetooth hardware even though i'm installing it using a bluetooth mouse -_-. Maybe there's more bluetooth connection software I could try? |

Hey man!
Well, I have tried connecting my wiimote to my Dell XPS M1330 laptop a bilion times. But I always fail.
It always sucessfully syncs with the laptop but glovepie does not recognise it.
Basically, I can not do anything... it only shows that it is connected in the bluetooth panel. I am using broadcom drivers for my built in dell bluetooh module. And... I run windows vista... I have no idea how to make it work..
Please help guys!....
My laptop is a high performance one so all hardware is good.
Just doing something wrong... HELP!!! |

Dell xps M1330 laptop... yes is a high perfomance computer. but that doesn't mean that is a perfect pc.. check the drivers of your bluetooth and the update for them in the dell service webpage.

| Same problem here [ Dell XPS M1330 ]. Tried different methods and didn't work on Vista. Final solution was with a SMC bluetooth adapter [ which hasn't Vista drivers X( ] and the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack [ trial ]. Set it up.. add to HID, right click and Connect. But i think some applications for the wiii remote do not work since they try to connect using the internal bluetooth. |
