hi i have a dell Latitude D520 with an IR sensor on the side.
will this be enough for me to use the wiimote as a mouse?
if not, what if i turn it to the side, then output to a secondary video source? |

What you need is an ir source not a sensor.
There are many options available to you in acquiring one.
you could plug in your wii (if you have one) near your laptop and youse your stock "sensor" bar (which by the way is not a sensor of any kind but an array of ir leds)
you could fashion an adapter for your stock sensor bar so it can run from an outlet or batteries or usb, depending on your understanding of electronics and circuits.
you could use a pair of tv remote controls wit the buttons taped don.
you could punch tiny holes into a box and put an incandescent bulb inside.
you could use flashlights or candles
you could build a custom bar from scratch for very little money.
you could buy a custom one online.
you could buy a third party one online.
this thread (and forum) is full of information that will lead to a practical solution for you. seek and you shall find. |
