Hello all,
I am looking to start modding my wii, and I've found a few guides on disassembling the Wii, but all of them insrtuct you to remove the phillips screw on the bottom and remove the button battery. What does this battery do? If I remove it, will I lose all my save data? If so, is there any way to remove it without losing all my data (like keeping it plugged in to the power cord?)
Any insight would be welcome! |

| Well I should start off by saying that if you don't even know what the battery does, you probably shouldn't be modding your Wii. But anyway, No you wont loose any saved data. The Battery's only function is to keep things like date and time current when the Wii is not connected to a wall outlet. |
