Messed with it for about 1/2 hour. It was cool. Need to try out some of that software that will stream media from another PC on the network. Tried out some flash games like duckhunt... that was fun.
Also tried out a flash irc client.... with no success. Can't wait until java is enabled! They have a view that you can change it to like a cell phone browser and zoom, I thought it was very useful.
Google Calendar rejected the opera browser and allowed read only.
Overall, very satisfied... and have some testing to do. |

Very cool. I stayed up till 6AM playing around with the new browser. I got orb music streaming to work, played a bunch of the flash games, and testing out a few things in Flash.
sendAndLoad() in flash is working!!! This is very good news for flash developers! Lots of client/server apps can now be created to fit in the wii. Also with flash you can set your movies to height and width = 100% and thy will stretch to the full width of the browser.
Also the 2 button on the wiimote puts opera into a special mode where all of the text is big and readable so you don't have to zoom in every time.
Some things I'm curious about:
-Has anyone found any new hidden browser objects such as the wiiShop object in the shop channel browser? I tried all of the wiiShop tricks such as playing sounds and music in the browser, and they do NOT work in the Trial Internet Channel.
-What are the flash video limitations, why do some sites work and some don't? it is a codec thing or a maximum bitrate? (mem is working through this problem with WiiCR)
What other sites / tricks have people found in the browser so far? _________________ -LiquidIce
