I managed to successfully use my hack on a built in bluetooth device in a laptop, installing it was no different compared to a desktop dongle. By pointing the hardware upgrade wizard I mean you should select the hacked ini file as the driver instead of letting windows decide for you.

yeh thats what i assumed, but the wizard finds nothing. Im asking the wizard to update the driver, is that correct? Even when i ask it to search the whole IVT corporation folder for drivers it finds nothing. Cheers.

You have to manually select the hacked file. Choose "Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install" and then click on "Have Disk" and select the hacked file. If it doesn't recognize anything, you might have an error in your hacked files.

ahhh i see, ok ive done some jigging around, and successfuly updated the driver, and it now recognises it as being provided by the IVT Corporation, but now it no longer recognises the device :s, any ideas? Ill try and re-do the hack from scratch, see if that makes a difference. Also under my bluetooth device a bus enumerator is listed as a seperate device, im not too sure what that is but would that need to be updated as well?

The bus enumerator being listed as a separate device should be normal.
What do you mean by "it no longer recognizes the device? Is there a problem with bluesoleil or is it a problem with windows?
Following my guide should be sufficient, if your device is compatible with the bluesoleil drivers, so my method might not work, even if you do everything right. |
