Lenovo 3000 N100, integrated Broadcom BCM2405 BlueTooth 2.0 + EDR connected via internal USB.
Edit: I finally got it working now. I don't know if it was the reboot or the totally-legal-in-every-way patch. |
I'm having a similar problem... I modified the BlueSoleil INF and INI to add my device, but when I click on "Turn Bluetooth on" it seems to work for a couple seconds and then says it "Hardware removed".
Anyone know what's the problem?
EDIT - this software is junk. I can't get it to stay on for more than 7 seconds... |

Hi,
I'm on a Dell XPS M1530 (new) with dell truemobile 355 internal Bluetooth
I installed BlueSoleil (I was getting 'hardware not found'), did the hacks on the files you said, rebooted, and now I get "Cannot start bluetooth. Please Start again".
Am I missing something? And what do you mean by reinstalling the driver? is that the widcomm one? _________________ http://alandtech.blogspot.com |

I tried following all the steps shown, but it doesn't do anything. I tried exiting Blue Soleil and restarting then changing the connection type, but it beeps at me and asks for me to connect my Bluetooth device.
I use Dell Ispiron E1505's built in Bluetooth named "Dell Wireless 355 Module with Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR Technology", it's Hardware Id is "USD\Vid_413c&Pid_8126"
I entered in:
[HW103]
ID=USB\VID_413C&PID_8126
Type=Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth Module
DLL=Driver\USB\btcusb.dll
DLLD=Driver\USB\btcusbd.dll
Inffile=Driver\USB\btcusb.inf
Manufacture=Dell
and changed the NUM to 103
and put in:
ExcludeFromSelect = USB\Vid_413C&Pid_8126
%DELL.DeviceDesc%=Btusb_DDI, USB\VID_413C&PID_8126
in their respective places.
I think I did at least somthing wrong, so please help .
EDIT: I am running Windows XP Media Center
EDIT2: WTF?????????????
I GOT IT TO WORK!
I don't dont know how the %#@& this happened!!!! It just worked all of a sudden when I restarted it after I gave up..... I am just glad it works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Was the driver installation successful an is everything ok in the hardware manager after the new driver was installed?
The inf-sections look ok to me.
My Hack just allows you to install the bluesoleil driver instead of the original and adds the bluetooth module to the bluesoleil hardware list. It's possible that the hardware just can't work with that driver. |

It found my driver, but the Bluetooth capability is not working. I uninstalled my last Bluetooth program that it came with to use this one. My last Bluetooth program could find my moms phone, which is right next to me and know how to use it, but could find the WiiMote and have no idea what it is. So obviously, I didn't write the driver part right even though it found it with the right Mac Adress and IP adress as found in cmd-->ipconfig/all. Do you think the %DELL.DeviceDesc% is wrong... I'll try to change it to Broad com like it said it was now that the program could find it. Hopefully I will be able to use this WiiMote!
EDIT:
It all of a sudden works again, all though I have yet another problem, when I try to connect to the WiiMote, it says that the "Connection Failed" after trying to connect... I just hope that it will all of a sudden work for this time too. I don't know how long that is gonna take tho... [maybe like a year later it will feel like connecting, like right when I get it to connect it breaks (lets hope not)]. Btw, thanks for responding, that was quick. |

Thx, glad I could help!
The msi starkey is the reason I made this hack. I first bought a belkin donlge and couldn't get it working, so I decided to get the starkey. I was pretty frustrated, when it didn't work either and I didn't want to waste money on another dongle, that might or might not work. The inf and ini files didn't look very complex and I gave it a try. |
