I was attempting to setup the emulator Kawaks so I could use the classic controller for control of the games. Strange things began occuring when trying to define the keys within the emulator, and after a bit of sleuthing, I came to realize the problem started the instant I connected the Wiimote to the PC.

The specific problem would be when defining keys, the first thing you'd see (upon a freshly connected Wiimote, no GlovePIE or any other scripts running, just a connect to WIDCOMM and put it down), the first line of input requests would be automatically filled by Joy1Up. With or without GlovePIE, no other buttons would be recognized by Kawaks. Not only would no other buttons be recognized from the Wiimote, but this would disable any other gamepad until I disconnected the Wiimote. Also, keyboard presses would cause a second reaction every time a key was released (i.e., if I wanted to set up keyboard control, I'd hit a button for setting Up, and the second I released that key, something would automatically set itself as Down and it'd skip steps in this manner).

Apparently, even without using a script of sorts to handle the Wiimote's calls, it is indeed communicating to the PC in some manner that's causing this peculiar error (mayhap the gyro?). Is there any ideas on a way to get around this kind of problem? Has it been seen on any other program?
