Nice collection
But why do you put your older versions in as well?
I wondered the same thing at the download page of GlovePIE itselfs...
Anyone would download a newer version instead of an older... or am I wrong? |

Well, different versions use different techniques, especially in the case of the CoD and Direct Point scripts. DP 1.02 is recommended over 1.5, simply because it works better for desktop use. Besides, peeps can use my old scripts to learn some about how GlovePie works. I frequently refer to my older creations for bits of script and techniques that I once removed, and want to bring back in a newer version. _________________ You have the right to remain n00bish.

| Sometimes things in GlovePIE aren't completely tested, and may potentially make things worse than an older version. |

Heh, I see what you're saying. To tell the absolute truth, I don't know why I posted the older versions, other than to archive the progress that was made along the development process.
But I do need to install 0.29 before I continue working... _________________ You have the right to remain n00bish.

Its too bad we can't get ahold of the algorithm the wii uses for pointing.
Somebody else brought up a good question. Didn't the wii IR camera have a set of grids each 1024x768: 4 horizontal and 3 vertical (idealized for a 4:3 display)?
How can we take advantage of these grids? Using them we could have 12x the precision.
Anybody know what i"m talking about, or am I just talking out my butt? |

I think you are talking out your butt, but I don't know.
The Wiimote can see up to 4 IR dots (some of which may be reflections) at once, and can report the position of the dot in its camera as x/y coordinates in the range 1024x768.
But the Wii itself only uses 2 IR dots on its sensor bar. |
