I am posting this for everybody who uses the famous Twilight Hack: don't update your Wii to version 3.3 if you live in North America. Nintendo said themselves in the update notification that the update will erase modified save files, a key component in the Twilight Hack. Please help spread the news quickly before Wii homebrew dies an early death.

Well if you already have the HBC on your Wii, you don't really have to worry.

Honestly, from what I am experiencing, everything works fine in the HBC, and thats alright with me. Now if you're using a modchip and editing official disks and making backups, yeah I would be worried.

A lot of the people that I notice freaking out are the ones that use the Twilight Hack for ebil...pure EBIL!!!

But these people also don't understand the true nature of what Homebrew is all about.

It's refreshing to see that Nintendo didn't nix the homebrew channel.

The only people that should worry are the ones that don't have hbc installed on their Wii yet. But then again, if you haven't been enjoying Homebrew by now, then you probably aren't in any hurry to.

Brantis, I don't have homebrew on my Wii yet. I tried but had to return a TP disc before I could get homebrew running on my Wii. That's why I was so prompt in posting about the danger of updating, since I am not the only one who wants to run homebrew, but cant yet.

its ok to update now the TP Hack has been fixed to work with the new update
