i made a sensor bar about 2 weeks ago using a usb port for power, and i modified it a bit, but all i did was extend some of the wiring to make it longer... and now it doesn't work

i checked for continuity and everything is connected, i checked too see how much voltage the circuit was getting and its fine

when i check the IR LEDs with my camera phone they don't light up like they used to ;(

any suggestions???

You might have burned them out. My first go around I hooked my LEDs in parallel by mistake. And passed 5v though 1.2v LEDs well that was fun. But I would suggest getting a new set of IR LEDs.

hmm, thats probably what happened, but i know a decent amount about electric circuitry and i know i wired it up right

plus it worked fine before i changed it (where all i did was extend a few wires)

Maybe you accidently switched the positive/negative wires around when you changed it? =X

Right I'm not saying that you didn't wire it wrong, I'm saying you might have shorted out the bulbs, or something crazy like that. I used a 5v LED to test my circut connections before I put my IR LEDs in, and as you said, if the circut is working fine, then the only other reason I can see is the bulbs.
