...So I understand the concept of PPjoy, I think.
It sort of tricks the computer into thinking something is a joystick, when it's not really? Such as rotating the Wiimote would be one axis, while tilting it would be another?
The thing is...How on earth do I configure it? I get to the mapping screen, but it's unresponsive... |

Sort of. PPJoy does two things... It provides a joystick driver for hacked non-pc gamepads that you connect to the parallel port, and it provides a virtual joystick that you can control with other programs.
If you have installed PPJoy, then you can access it by going to the control panel and clicking on PPJoy, or from the GlovePIE CP-Settings menu.
When you open PPJoy you need to click Add, if you don't already have a virtual joystick listed there. You need to choose virtual in the port box, and choose controller 1 in the other box. Then you need to go through and edit the mapping. Choose how many axes and buttons and hat switches you want, and then choose which analog and digital values they correspond to. Do not create any continuous hat switches.
By itself PPJoy virtual joysticks won't do anything, you need to be running a glovepie script, or running another program which controls PPJoy virtual joysticks. |
