I realize that these are bad questions, as they have probably been asked hundreds of times before. I also understand that this is a really bad first post, and being the noobie, I deserve nothing more than flaming.
That being said, I now have a few questions.
1: If you use WiiLi, does it work just like the actual Wii controls?
2: if so, do you need a sensor bar
3: if so, does it connect through usb, firewire, etc.?
4: are their emulators for games like wiisports and can you play them of your pc?
sorry for the nooby questions.
and thanks for your help. |

Fair enough.
1.) Read/research before asking questions.
2.) See #1
3.) See #2
4.) It's obvious you don't know anything about emulation. Maybe trying seeing #3.
This is the part where I should normally be putting the really major flames, such as remarks about your questionable parentage as well as education and most definitely a rude suggestion about your intelligence quotient. We'll skip all that since you a.) are already fully aware of the contemptible nature of your post, and b.) practically requested to be abused as it is...
I'm not sure I'm into that sort of thing.

You should know that WiiLi isn't really that much planned yet...
1) Can't be answered at this time.
2) See 1
3) See 1
4) WiiLi is supposed to running on the Wii...not the PC. Or what do you mean? if you mean illegal emulatoring: WiiLi won't support this. |

Fr4nk13, you should read the wiki (http://wiili.org/), in there yhere is almost all the inf you're looking for, you seem to either have completly missunderstood what Wiili is about and behave like you did cause of that, or you are simply here to troll, or the only other conclusion I oculd take from your post is you're a bit dumb or otherwise mentally handcaped in some way (no ofense intended, I'm just saying how it sounded like to me....) _________________ please put the scripts on the wiki so they dont get lost as new stuff is posted!

@Snark
thank you very much for the enlightenment, as I never knew that people on the internet could be deliberately rude to one another. I really do appreciate the fact that you do have an opinion, but it would be much appreciated if you would keep it to yourself.
I researched and answered 1-3 for myself.
As for #1, (are there wiisports emulators), I still cannot find the answer.
Matti-Koopa stated that WiiLi will not support emulators, but I saw videos of people running Project 64 on their PC and controlling it via Wii controller.
Now for the ruder statements about me:
"remarks about your questionable parentage":
My father was a high school dropout, then later went back to get a high school degree as well as 2 years of college under his belt. My mother was always a straight A student from K-12 and on to 4 years of college.
When I was 5 my family moved to a new town to start a new business (carpet cleaning and supplies). We came to Florida with about $40 and now have a company that's net sales are close to 2 million a year.
I get fed 2 hot meals a day (the 3rd is lunch which I eat at school).
"as well as education":
I'm a junior in high school, taking all honors, AP, or duel enrollment classes, that is except for my two electives, Drama and Computer Programing (a really dumb class seeing that we only learn basic).
I've been on the Honor Roll for 2 years now and have a weighted GPA of 4.3 for this past quarter.
"most definitely a rude suggestion about your intelligence quotient":
Seeing that a quotient is a result of mathematical division, I'm not quite sure how this could be applied to intelligence. If you are implying that I am not intelligent, however, I'd like you to refer to the last response I made. If I must go on about it, please do not hesitate to ask.
Now I'll just say yes, I am fully aware of the contemptible nature of my post. I did state that I was new to this whole thing, and kindly asked for the assistance of people who know what they're taking about.
I will not provide any counter flames, as it will ultimately result in a negative way. |

Wiili is a project that intends to run Linux on the Nintendo Wii game console
1: I dunno what are their plans, but I believe there will be possiblity for you to customaize the behavior of the way the wiimote data is handled by the system
2: if my suposition presented on the answer to the #1 quesiton is true it iwll mean you might be bale to use just the accelerometers or event he ddirectional buttns or the analog stick on the nunchuck to control the mouse cursor and alike
3:the sensor bar made by nintendo has it's own plug in the Wii case somewhre, and it is a kind of plug made just for it, but if you will be using a homemade or third party sensor bar it is likelly it will be conected to the a/c outlet or to a batery, but usb and other power sources have been considered by some sb makers
4:the Wiili site and group don't want to have anything to do with ilegal emulation or copies of oficial game s and alike, you shouldun't ask or talk anything abouit it here or risk ggetting banned fromt he site or somthing _________________ please put the scripts on the wiki so they dont get lost as new stuff is posted!

I think it's funny that you march in here without having the common sense to do ANY research of your own - even research as simple as reading the main page of this site or searching on Google - then you say that you expect people to make fun of you, and then when they barely even come close to doing so you take offense to it. Seriously, what's your deal?
Also, how have you never heard of an intelligence quotient before? Perhaps you may know it by its more common acronym: IQ. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQ
I'm assuming since you're so smart you would've taken an IQ test before.
Now, about your "wii sports emulator". No, there is no emulator for one game. Emulators typically emulate the console itself. Seeing as the Wii came out less than 4 months ago it would be safe to assume that no one has made an emulator for the system yet, meaning you cannot play Wii games on your computer and probably won't be able to anytime in the near future. When he stated that WiiLi doesn't support emulators, he means that no one here is working on a way to emulate the Nintendo Wii on a home computer as that would be piracy in its purest form. If you connect the Wii controller to your computer via Bluetooth you can use it to control emulators that do exist, however. |
