is there a diference between pressing the oen and two buttoms at the same time and simply pressing the red buttom on the bateries compartment? (also when I press any other buttom while unpaired the leds blink indicating the batery charge the same way, does this mean anything?) _________________ please put the scripts on the wiki so they dont get lost as new stuff is posted!

-1+2 makes the remote discoverable.
-The red button makes the remote discoverable AND sets the Wii that discovers it to its "default" Wii. This means that the remote can turn the Wii on and off with the power button and that if the Wii is on, it can sync with the Wii by pressing any of the buttons instead of having to use the red button or 1+2.
-Pushing any button makes the remote discoverable to its "default" Wii. _________________ Cha0s |

Not sure about that, actually. I'll mess with it in a few days, perhaps. _________________ Cha0s |

The Sync button will immediately disconnect it if it is currently connected. The Sync button will then make it discoverable for a while. I don't think you can hold down the sync button. I think you need to use the Sync button with a Wii if you want the Wiimote to be able to turn the Wii on and off, and to stay paired with it when you turn the Wii off.
1+2 will not disconnect it or make it discoverable if it is currently connected (it will just tell games that the 1 button is pressed and the 2 button is pressed). When not connected, 1+2 can be held down to keep it in discoverable mode. Using 1+2 will not be permanent.
The leds only blink on button presses if you have used the Wiimote with a Wii. If you buy a blank Wiimote that has never been connected to a Wii, then nothing will happen when you press a button. I don't know how to make the Wiimote return to its original behaviour. |

I don't think I would want to make my wiimote stop blinking, I like havignt he ability of knowing the charge of the bateries without having to conect it to the computer and run a program to read it _________________ please put the scripts on the wiki so they dont get lost as new stuff is posted!

CarlKenner: I assume it would probably be related to some data stored in the flash memory or perhaps a control register? It probably just remembers the Wii's BT address, so if we could grab the BT address of a Wii and then search a data dump of the remote's memory for that sequence, we could probably find out where this information is stored. In that case, setting the address to its min (all 0s in hex) or max (all Fs in hex) unsigned value would probably disable this feature. Then again, this is all just speculation on my part. _________________ Cha0s |
