Anybody else tested on a 64-bit or dual core system?
I'm not aware of anything that could have happened to the wiimote, which isn't to say there isn't anything. Do you have another wiimote you could test? _________________ "I seldom let practicality get in the way of my fascination with shiny things and blinky lights."

| I tested the wiimote with version 0.3.01 of Cwiid, and both it and the GUI work. I don't have a 0.3.5 tar of Cwiid to check, but 0.3.01 is working. I've tried completely new makes of both packages to no avail, both behave the same, buttons work with 0.3.01 but not 0.4.01. The wiimote however, appears to be just fine. |

I'm convinced. I should be able to round up a 64-bit machine (hopefully dual-core) within a few hours - I'll let you know what I find. If I can't reproduce your error, I'll work up a debug patch or two. Incidentally, all the old tarballs are still available at www.abstrakraft.org/CWiid-0.X.XX.tgz . _________________ "I seldom let practicality get in the way of my fascination with shiny things and blinky lights."

no problem
Gonna have to take back the "few hours" part, though. Got the amd64 hardware working, but it may be tomorrow before I get the software side in order. _________________ "I seldom let practicality get in the way of my fascination with shiny things and blinky lights."

ok - finally got a 64 bit machine up and going. It's a single core AMD, but at least its x86_64.
Unfortunately, wmgui works fine, so the next question is, how good are you with C, as in should I work up patch files and send them to you, or could I just send you a few ideas of where debug printf's should go?
Also, this might be a good time to pick the conversation up offline - my e-mail is on the CWiid wiki page, as well as in the package itself. _________________ "I seldom let practicality get in the way of my fascination with shiny things and blinky lights."

I'm pretty good with C, at least I know my way around the language well enough, although I'm not so good with pointers. Most of the stuff I'm doing is in C and Fortran. Go ahead and give me some places to put some printf's, I might even have already put them there though.
We can go ahead and pick this up in email, I'll email you later this evening.
If it makes a difference, I'm using a Core2Duo. |
