Thanks goes to TDM for this great application, incl sourcecode :
http://localhostr.com/files/1adbcd/AutoConnect.zip
Connection and Reconnection works perfect!
This application is for the MS Bluetooth stack, but after som hacking with the MS stack I was able to use my Broadcom/Widcomm device with MS stack instead, Im sure many of you really want this tool instead of manually connect every time.
To do this I moddified the file c:\windows\inf\bth.inf
To this :
[Broadcom.NT.5.1]
Blutonium BCM2045 Bluetooth 2.4 GHz Single Chip Transceiver= BthUsb, USB\VID_0A5C&PID_200A
Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth 2.0 USB Device= BthUsb, USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2101
You get the hardware VID and PID from devicemanager if you righclick your device using the broadcom drivers. After this is done, disable the device.
Now you MUST delete/move the broadcom drivers away from windows plugnplay inspection. I did a search in c:\windows and moved all files named btw*.* to c:\temp. Press ctrl alt del and get the task manager up, close all bluetooth software running, that is bt_server, bttray etc..and move c:\program\widcomm directory to c:\temp.
Right click the device in device manager and make a driverupdate.
choose from list and select microsoft version instead of broadcom.
Windows will ask you to activate the device, if not, manually activate it.
NOTE! you cannot do this from a new install, only driverupdate from broadcom to microsoft! It seems like the broadcom drivers enables the device first.
Make this sticky please? many people are asking for a autoconnect solution. |

Try my moddified version of Autoconnector.
http://localhostr.com/files/bb210e/wii.zip
***Updated***
Any comments? Ill try to make a service for this program aswell, so it will scan for wiimotes in the background and autoconnect every 10 sec.
Tested in Windows XP / Vista. |

Hi,
Many many thanks for this tool!
I have a few questions about it, thought :
What are the differences between the 2 versions ?
I've had the original software working flawlessly but not yours - go figure...
Are there some command line switches for it ?
Is there a way to close the software after a successful scan ?
Or to rescan automatically once done and no wiimote has been found ?
(that way, it would be easier to script it with the launch of GlovePIE immediately after it - I'm no developer, I only write VBS/CMD/BAT files)
I'm waiting for your service! |

hi guys,
I followed the information to install the MS bluetooth stack, after some issues (I could hit update driver if I had deleted the files already), it installed.
Autoconnect see the Wii, scans, and says connected.
I start glovepie and have to select bluetooth fix for it to work now.
So far so good
Now ... how do I get the wiimote to reconnect automatically or glovepie to continue working after I hit the power button on the wiimote ?
Obviously Windows bluetooth does not say connected anymore & glovepie stops showing coordinates ( in the testwiimote.pie).
Hitting 1+2 does not seem to do anything, while autoconnect just say connected.
If i restart autoconnect, it will reconnect the wiimote, but glovepie script needs to be stopped/started.
Tx to shed my light. |
